About the game
In Alpaca, players compete to build the most valuable and well-managed alpaca ranch. Begin with the same modest deck of puppy alpacas and fence cards, then use their coin values and special abilities to acquire more impressive alpacas from the shared market.

Every alpaca has its own quirky profession and power—such as librarian, lumberjack, accountant, or rock star. On your turn, decide whether to use an alpaca for purchasing power or activate its special ability. The alpacas you buy enter your deck, giving you stronger options as the game continues, but your most valuable animals must eventually be placed behind fences to score.

Each player can build up to four enclosures, generally holding two alpacas each. Alpacas safely placed behind fences are removed from the regular deck-building cycle and become end-game points, while some provide ongoing abilities from their enclosures. The first player to fill their fourth fence triggers the end of the game, then everyone counts the value of the alpacas on their farm and any applicable end-game bonuses.

Alpaca is a friendly but interactive family deck-builder that combines card-market competition, timing, special abilities, light resource management, and ranch-building strategy.
