About the game
In Tacta, players build a colorful, ever-growing shared layout of overlapping cards while trying to keep their own dots visible and cover as many opponents’ dots as possible. Every placement matters: flip, rotate, and carefully align your card’s squares, triangles, and rectangles to connect it seamlessly to the expanding display.

Each player receives an 18-card deck in a unique color, but can see only the two outermost cards—one at the top and one at the bottom. On your turn, choose one of these available cards, then flip and rotate it as needed before placing it over a matching shape on a card already in play. The shapes must align precisely, and players may cover cards of any color, creating constant opportunities to protect their scoring dots or hide an opponent’s.

Once every player has placed all of their cards, count the visible dots in each color. The player with the most visible dots wins. Tacta is an easy-to-learn abstract strategy card game that combines spatial puzzle-solving, limited choices, clever card placement, and direct but family-friendly competition.
