About the game
In Volcanic Isle, players lead rival communities across a mythic prehistoric land that will eventually become Easter Island. Build villages, spread settlers, and raise monumental Moai statues—but every new statue risks awakening the volcanoes beneath the island.

On each turn, players spend action points to move settlers, expand villages, sculpt and erect Moai, and acquire prayer tokens. Raising a Moai blocks a geyser and may trigger an eruption, creating fissures that divide the island. When an area becomes fully surrounded by fissures, it sinks into the sea—taking everything left behind with it.

Protect your own people, time your construction carefully, and use prayer tokens to move Moai and villages away from danger. When only a small portion of the island remains, the player with the most surviving villages, settlers, Moai, adjacent-statue bonuses, and prayer tokens wins.

Volcanic Isle combines accessible area control, action-point management, tile-based destruction, and a dramatic risk-versus-reward system in which the board literally disappears as the game progresses.
